Privacy
Last updated: July 2026. Straight answers, no jargon.
- Your email + password — to identify your account. Password is hashed by Appwrite, our auth provider; we never see the plaintext.
- Your uploaded EPUBs and generated PDFs — stored in your library so you can re-download them. Only you can access them.
- Your book settings and cover choices — stored per project so you can re-edit.
- Your IP address + browser (user-agent) — logged whenever you generate a book. This is only for detecting patterns like one person making many accounts to burn through free books. It is not shared with anyone and is not used for advertising.
- Purchase records — stored when you buy credits (order ID, amount, timestamp). Payment card details never touch our servers; Lemon Squeezy / Stripe handle that.
- No advertising trackers.
- No third-party analytics.
- No selling data to anyone, ever.
- No public gallery, no social features that expose you.
We use one cookie: an authentication session cookie set by Appwrite so you stay logged in. That's it. No banner because there's nothing to opt out of.
Three services power FicBound:
- Appwrite Cloud (Frankfurt, EU) — auth, database, file storage.
- Vercel (EU/US) — hosts the app itself. Vercel sees request headers (which is how we get your IP for the usage log).
- Lemon Squeezy / Stripe — process payments and handle sales tax. They see billing info; we don't.
As an EU user, you can ask us to show, export, or delete the data we hold about you. Email patterna.pro@gmail.com. We'll respond within a month at the outside.
Deleting your account deletes your uploaded EPUBs, generated PDFs, settings, and cover files. We keep purchase records for the legal minimum (in France: 10 years for accounting) and usage logs for 90 days (for abuse detection) — both are locked to admin-only access.
Reach us any time at patterna.pro@gmail.com. Data at FicBound is handled by one person, in France. If you want to know something, ask.
